Ash Pattison-Scott
Ash is a writer from California, now based in Brooklyn. She holds a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of California, Berkeley and an MFA in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College where she was a Randall Jarrell Fellow.
She’s taught english and creative writing at UC Berkeley, San Quentin State Prison, and SUNY Purchase. Her fiction and nonfiction has appeared in Roxanne Gay’s The Audacity, The Cleveland Review of Books, At What Cost, The Photographic Index, and elsewhere.
Currently, teaches creative writing through her renegade writing school, Close Reading Studio. In her free time, she discusses language and the laws of the universe with her dog, Flower.
